itm in $320 mixed wcoop event

Date: Thu, Sep 11, 2008 Tournament Internet Professional

yay I had a nice long blog typed up but apparently I didnt click publish. :-( I took 99th in the $320 wcoop mixed holdem event today. I lost half my stack in the first level to numerous bad beats but eventually got some chips. I lost in 99th place when my QQ couldnt beat 22. Such is life. We are flying out to AC tomorrow. i hope my little itm streak continues once I get there. I am 3 for 4 in wcoop events, which is nice. Im glad I took 7th in the $10,000 and not in the $320 today, which would have paid something like $5000, I think. I guess thats one of the reasons I love big buyin tournaments. Whenever you make it deep, you make serious money whereas in $215s and $320s, even if you make it to the ft, you still dont get much unless you win. I also think that I somehow either run hotter or focus a lot more, as I have a huge roi in them. Its weird becaise I think I focus equally well on all my games, but apparently I dont. Anyways, im off to sleep so I can sleep more on a plane tomorrow.

WCOOP update

Date: Mon, Sep 8, 2008 Tournament Internet Professional

PLO is fun I was doing well early in the WCOOP mixed game event, doubling up during the NL holdem round with AA v KT. A couple hours later this hand came up: PokerStars Game #20255690928: Tournament #200800008, $300+$20 8-Game (Omaha Pot Limit) - Level XVI (30/60) - 2008/09/08 19:24:30 ET Table '200800008 37' 6-max Seat #5 is the button Seat 1: themerkman (8225 in chips) Seat 2: JP OSU (10710 in chips) Seat 3: redraiders80 (3943 in chips) Seat 4: z32fanatic (4637 in chips) Seat 5: JPool#4 (3140 in chips) Seat 6: skunky666 (4690 in chips) skunky666: posts small blind 30 themerkman: posts big blind 60 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to z32fanatic [As Tc Jc Ac] JP OSU: folds redraiders80: folds z32fanatic: raises 150 to 210 JPool#4: folds skunky666: raises 480 to 690 themerkman: folds z32fanatic: raises 1440 to 2130 skunky666: calls 1440 *** FLOP *** [5c 9s Jh] skunky666: bets 2560 and is all-in z32fanatic: calls 2507 and is all-in Uncalled bet (53) returned to skunky666 *** TURN *** [5c 9s Jh] [3s] *** RIVER *** [5c 9s Jh 3s] [7s] *** SHOW DOWN *** skunky666: shows [Js 9d Kh Kd] (two pair, Jacks and Nines) z32fanatic: shows [As Tc Jc Ac] (a pair of Aces) skunky666 collected 9334 from pot *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 9334 | Rake 0 Board [5c 9s Jh 3s 7s] Seat 1: themerkman (big blind) folded before Flop Seat 2: JP OSU folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 3: redraiders80 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 4: z32fanatic showed [As Tc Jc Ac] and lost with a pair of Aces Seat 5: JPool#4 (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 6: skunky666 (small blind) showed [Js 9d Kh Kd] and won (9334) with two pair, Jacks and Nines It was fitting because I managed to get it in for 125bb each in the 2nd chance PLO with AAxx v KKxx and lost that too haha. I debated just calling the reraise pf because by 4 betting I really define my hand as AA. Then I just decided people are really bad and will call off 1/2 their stack anyway knowing I have AA so just get it in asap. It's hard to get upset playing PLO because the edges are so small, but AAJT v KKJ9 is about as big an edge as you can get haha. I feel like I'm playing well, so I'm not too upset I guess. In other news we drafted another good fantasy football team this year and got off to a great start with Michael Turner. We also were lucky enough to have a year long sidebet with the person who has Tom Brady, so we should ship that fairly easily.

goofing off

Date: Sun, Sep 7, 2008 Tournament Internet Professional

$10,000 wcoop tomorrow i havent been playing too much poker lately, mainly because whenever I start a session, I snap lose 3 buyins. I have, however, been playing a decent amount of Magic, wasting loads of time but thoroughly enjoying myself. I went and played a draft at a local shop tonight and won the 12 person tournament, which is always nice. As much fun as it is, I am going to try to make myself work some over the next week before Borgata. Hopefully the schedule doesnt get changed too much due to hurricane Ike. Also, the $10,000 wcoop event is in 7.5 hours. I always look forward to these huge buyin online mtts, as you dont have to run super hot to win them. All it takes is a steady stream of decent cards that hold up. Hopefully tomorrow will be my day.

Selling shares of some WCOOP events

Date: Fri, Sep 5, 2008 Tournament Internet Professional

One time I'm going to be selling shares of the bigger buyin WCOOP events. The events I'm selling action in are: 9/7 $530 NLHE 9/12 $215 PLO 1r + 1a 9/13 $530 PLHE 9/14 $1050 NLHE 9/15 $530 Stud/8 9/16 $530 NLHE 1r + 1a 9/18 $530 NL Shootout 9/19 $1050 PLO 9/21 $5200 NLHE I'm going to be selling the shares at 1.25-1, as I'll have a good sized edge in these tourneys. The maximum total buyins for this schedule is $11565, so 1% of my action will be $145. If any of the money is unused, either because I skipped the event or didnt have the opportunity to add-on, that part will be refunded at the same rate it was purchased of course. If you would like to buy a % you can transfer in increments of $145 to z32fanatic (Austin) on PokerStars. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or anything else at z32staking@gmail.com. As for poker lately, I've played a decent amount of games in September, but only played 1000 in August because of the puppy. I've been doing ok at the $114s lately, with a 5% ROI over my last 2000 games, which comes out to about $8/game after bonuses and stuff. I'll try to blog more, but not very much has been going on poker wise lately.

ran some sngs at my parents house tonight

Date: Fri, Sep 5, 2008 Tournament Internet Professional

stalker chickened out Last night in the .25/.50 game, I won $20 and got to hang out with a bunch of old friends. It was nice. They also convinced me to go draft Magic with them on Sunday. That should be a good, fun, waste of time. Tonight, I ran 3 $10 sngs at my parents house. I had 2 2nds and a otm, so thats good. Ship the 70% roi and $10/hr!!. I also 20 tabled 2/4 nl today and ran worse than I have in a while. About 10 minutes into the day, I had already lost with 44 on a 554 to Q5 and AJ on a AxJhTh board to A8hh, so that sucked. About 5 minutes later I ran KK into AA and then QQ into KK. No suckouts. Such is life. As for the challenge I issued to the stalker kid, he apparently backed out, as he never sat at the 30/60 table where I had $10,000 locked up waiting for him for the last few days. I guess that goes to show that a broke joke with a blog is just another broke joke.

going to play a small home game

Date: Wed, Sep 3, 2008 Tournament Internet Professional

...... The last few days have been fairly annoying online, as I am down 3 buyins over 15000 hands. I only played around 2 hours today but just wasnt feeling too with it, as I have only been getting around 6 hours of sleep per night due to trying to rewatch the shield before the final season starts. I could just sleep until 4 pm I guess, or go to sleep before 4 am, but neither of those would be too fun. I try to always wake up somewhere around noon, that way I dont have to change my sleep schedule too much for the wpt events. Anyways, I am probably going to spend the rest of my work time today watching some full ring videos. After that, I am going to play a huge .25/.50 game with some old friends. Tomorrow, I am going to run a few $5 sngs at my parents house. Its nice to have something like poker that everyone in the family can enjoy. Also, the stalker kid has yet to show up at the 30/60 table ive been sitting at for the last 2 days. Ill be sitting there until around 8pm est just in case he decides to show up and tomorrow from around 1pm est - 6pm est. If he shows, I have even decided to make a live video for all the members here at sngicons.com of the game. Only one day left for him to man up before I write him off as another broke, joke, railbird.

conditions This is just a little reply to the stalker kid who says he will only play me live in a casino. While I will normally be fine with this, after thinking over it more I have a few big problems with this. 1) After reading your blog only a few times, I have spotted numerous blatant lies, including recropping the screenshot I took right off your site. I can already see you stringing people along til Bellagio then saying I refused to play you. That isnt going to fly. edit: MrFranco just informed me that once an image is uploaded on blogspot, it cant be removed, only hidden. Here is a link to the pic in question: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OQvWA9cy2a0/SLse85hRciI/AAAAAAAAAUU/jmZewJ2JRsM/s1600-h/jlittle.JPG 2) I have no desire to meet anyone that calls themselves a stalker in real life. 3) Live mtts are like a vacation to me. I dont want to sit playing live poker for a few hours.. 4) Getting heads up tables at such low stakes usually isnt possible, especially at a casino like Bellagio (you would know this if you have ever been there). So, my offer stands. I will be sitting and waiting over the next three days. Let me know if you accept or decline so I dont have to keep my eye on the table while 20 tabling. Ill even do you a favor and take a few pics of me playing, just to prove it is me. If that isnt good enough for you, I will assume you are as big of a joke as your site. Good luck to you.

I promise I'm gonna blog more often

Date: Tue, Sep 2, 2008 Tournament Internet Professional

August was one big vacation. The first week of August, I went to KY for about five days. Then I drove to southwest VA to see my family for a couple days. After that I drove to Richmond to rendezvous with Basquiatcase. He was driving Gravy's car from Austin to VA. I got to see Gravy in one of his unballer moments. Gravy was in the transition phase between living in the mansion and closing on his condo. So he was staying with his mom. Then Basquiatcase and I headed south towards Biloxi, MS. I had bought a wireless card in Richmond so we had internet access while we were on the road. We were almost to MS and we got stuck in a traffic jam. The interstate was closed and they were rerouting traffic for six miles on highway 90. Traffic was ridiculously slow, so I got on Google maps and found all the back roads to get around everyone else. That was so playa. We just laughed at all the n00bs that had to wait. In Biloxi, we got a room on the 25th floor with a baller view of the bay. We stayed and played two days in Biloxi. We played 1/2 NL. I made $400 on the trip. At one point I was up $700 but I got pwned twice by a little old lady. We tried to find a PLO game, but the only PLO in town was a 25/50 game. So lame IMO. We were planning on going on to New Orleans, but neither of us had gotten much sleep since we left home and we were exhausted. So we just drove back to Austin. The next weekend, I went to Wichita for a few days. And the weekend after that, I went to Dallas. So I didn't grind much that month. I ran pretty bad over the few games I did play. I only made 1k online. This month my goal is to grind out 2500 games. I have a small volume bet with Basquiatcase. I'm thinking about traveling more. I kinda want to travel the country and live in motels and extended stay hotels. We'll see how that goes.

more chilling

Date: Mon, Sep 1, 2008 Tournament Internet Professional

Poker today was rough. I started off getting up 3 buyins pretty fast, then broke even for 2 hours, then got set over seted 3 times in my last 30 minutes to put me even for the 5500 hands. We are going to eat at Outback with Katys family soon. Hopefully that goes well. I am also kind of liking the schedule thing, where I work 6 hours per day and chill for the rest. While I hate 6 or so hours of solid work but the relaxation time is nice. I checked the stalker kids blog again today and he is claiming everything in my past post was made with photoshop. Anyone can go to sharkscope.com or thepokerdb.com, type in trex28, and get the same results. Someone was also claiming he is Hac "trex313" Dang. I promise, it isnt him. He also said that I wouldnt play him or w/e. Im not one to do stupid heads up egofests, but I have found a game he just might take me up on. He claims limit hu is a great game of skill, and from what I can tell, he is down $10000 or so from sngs and mtts on stars. So, I will sit at 30/60 limit with $10,000, which should give us plenty of room to see who is actually the better player. If he beats me, he will be even for his life, if he loses, well, his parents will be out another $10,000. I will sit for the next 3 days while I am 20 tabling from around 1pm est til 7pm est. I also assume he will want to play much lower. Well, I dont play for napkins, so a $10,000 freezout is as low as I will go. He can either accept by sitting and playing or decline by running and hiding. Ill post again if a few days if anything happens.

the portrait of a railtard

Date: Sun, Aug 31, 2008 Tournament Internet Professional

lolol I was minding my own busisness playing the Sunday Million today when some railtard, TRex28, started talking crap to me. This happens from time to time but I just so happened to be talking to MrFranco at the time and he told me that there is apparently some blog on blogspot talking trash about the sngicons, about how we arent winning players or something like that.

Anyways, I decided to check out the site and he posted screenshots of my super standard repushes with 87s and JTo. I noticed that the screen name at the top right was the same guy telling me how afwul I am. I read a little more on the site, as I dont really have time for such foolishness, and it looks like this blog is this guys life. Do people really sit around and try to hate on their idols? It was really amusing to me.

I then decided to sharkscope and pokerdb the guy and he is down $7000 from sngs, having a nice -18% roi. He also has -22% roi over 300 mtts, with the average buyin being $22. I also noticed that he decided to degen it a bit in sngs around 350 games into his career. Needless to say, he didnt have what it takes.

I guess what I am trying to say to all the readers is that if you want to be a failure at life, spend all your time blogging about how some of the best poker players suck in their chosen game. Oh yeah, dont forget to get your parents credit card and lose $8500. Instead, invest $200 on poker books, post on 2+2, watch lots of poker videos, and make something out of yourself.

Oh yeah, I read somewhere on the kids site that he has some challenge out to the sngicons to play him hu. So, trex28, I will play you hu for any amount of money in any game, even your best game, limit holdem. Or, if he wants, I will give him a free month of sngicons.com so that he can turn that graph rightside up.

Other than that waste of 5 minutes of typing, life has been nice lately. Katy and I are still alive and well in Pensacola. It looks like the hurricane isnt going to hit us, so we will just chill here til we fly out in 10 days to go to Borgata. I also have decided to try to get on some sort of schedule. While I hate feeling like I have to do something, I think it willbe good, as I have a hard time seperating work and rest time. Poker for the last few days has been just meh. I am down 2 buyins over 10000ish hands, which kinda sucks but should be expected, expecially since I have been on basically a nice smoothe 2.5bb/100 upswing since I started playing online again. So yeah, life is nice, relaxing, and good.

Good Month

Date: Sat, Aug 30, 2008 Tournament Internet Professional

Could have been better though... So this month turned out to be fairly profitable. Ended up making about $20k or so which came mainly from MTT's. my goal was only to make $10k so this is a decent figure. had a shocking month for sngs only making about $4k. The month could have been a lot more profitable if i didnt go on a huge downswing towards the end of the month. in other news i just ordered a macbook pro 17in glossy widescreen laptop which im basically just going to use in case my pc freezes/power cuts out etc and end up losing my games and all my $$$. should be getting that in the next few days or so. ive got one of my mates b'day party tonight which should be sick. next month im just gonna try and take it easy and make 10k or so. to combat variance im only going to play the $119s and under. (likewise for MTT's). ill keep you updated on my next score.. jiz ps haters are homos

maybe going to get hit by a hurricane

Date: Sat, Aug 30, 2008 Tournament Internet Professional

woohoo Apparently there is a hurricane out in the Gulf of Mexico that is probably going to end up making landfall somewhere near New Orleans on Mon or Tue, which means it "could" knock out the power here in Pensacola for a week or so. I obv cant live without internet, so if it looks like it is going to get us, we will be going somewhere. I was thinking about making a vacation out of it to Orlando but there is another tropical storm that might hit orlando when we would be there chilling. To make matters worse, the $5000 event in Biloxi was supposed to be on Tue. This most likely isnt going to happen and even if it does, it will be a 10 man sng. There is a thread on 2+2 about it, so I will keep up to date on that. Also, Katys sister is in town so we have been at her parents house for a little while for the last 2 days. Tomorrow they are having a cook out on the beach, which should be a fun time... As for poker, not much has been happening. Since I got back from LA, I have played 4 days, being up $1365 the first, down $855 the second, up $745 the third and up $761 the fourth, over 15000 hands total, putting me up $6500 over 50 hours or so of work in 60000 hands. Not too great but ill take it. I have pretty much figured out where all the good players profit comes from, at least at these levels. Basically, when I make a hand, I stack people a lot more than they stack me when they make a hand. Hopefully they keep letting me off cheap.
