Over the past few months I have been introduced to the exciting Italian wines created by the Giordano family of Giordano Wines. If you are not familiar with Giordano’s award winning wines, you are not alone. It is only recently that have been available in the U.S. and still on a limited basis. But that is all about to change.
In the early days of Wine Reviews at Bacchus and Beery Wine Blog I wanted to be a bit rebellious so I eschewed the 100-Point wine rating system made famous by Robert Parker and adopted by just about every other mainstream wine reviewer around. During my time as a wine blogger I have been lucky enough to meet many of these exciting next-gen winemakers. Rock and Vine does an excellent job of bringing their dynamic personalities and passion for a new style of winemaking to life, through both thoughtful words and eye-popping photography.
While Kurt learned much of his craft working with his uncle Chuck Wagner (co-founder of Caymus) and cousins at Caymus Vineyards, he ventured out a few years ago to create hand-crafted Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and Chardonnay under his own label Bohème Wines. Kurt’s five small-lot wines are exceptional examples of terrior-driven single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. For those who support small, family and artisan wineries…Bohème is a wine find that will definitely excite your palate and enhance your cellar.
